| Captain - Niall McAlinden Niall is the man who should be our figurehead for the coming year, the man who leads and to which we should al aspire....we just have to be careful to say 'should', not quite 'shall'! A postgraduate student in computational chemistry and physics, he should be used to dealing with big numbers as will be demanded in this job! A very amiable chap which is surprising seeing he hails from the Southside! Oh, and the photo was taken on Achill island and it wasn't as dangerous as it looks I'm told! | Treasurer/Webmaster - Ciaran Carolan That's me, yes I double as Club treasurer in addition to using my ultra sharp wit in preparing these webpages. Pictured on a trip to the home of orienteering, Sweden, obviously doing alot of orienteering there you see! I'm charged with chasing all you non-paying students down to retain a little bit of money in the coffers to get us through the year! I run home to Louth when it all gets too much! | Sponsorship Secretary/PRO - Christian Foley-Fisher A former captain, Christian reverts to the role of sponsorship secretary and public relations officer for the coming year. Charged with getting more money and goods for our good treasurer (that's me!) to play with, his smooth talking style is sure to be effective when liaising with top-brass company executives. Christian will welcome anyone offering anything at all, let's just leave it at that! Oh, and in the tradition of what has gone before, I guess we better tell you he hails from that county that couldn't even come up with a name of its own and hence made use of someone else's - yes, Westmeath! Events Secretary - Chris Blau The hitherto photoless Mr. Blau is the club's event's secretary for the coming year. The club hosts a number of events each year and Chris should ensure that everything runs smoothly and that all clubs can be impressed by the students marvellous ability to put together a quite fantastic and fun event. Chris is a veterinary surgeon by trade - it's good to have a medical professional out with us in the field even if the orienteers might provide a rather tricky treatment proposition from his perspective! | Social Secretary - Ruchika Sharma Ruchika has the rather envious task of organising the club's social calendar for the year to come. We are assured it won't all involve cinema nights out and Indian cookery evenings, since most of our members tend to be on for a variety of nights out. So Ruchika assures us there will be a wide and varied range of activities taking place from week to week to take our minds off the orienteering which obviously dominates for the remainder of the week!!;) Just to be complete, I guess I should inform you that Ruchika is a Rathfarnham native Ruchika can be e-mailed at sharmar@tcd.ie |
